Whew….I am more than open to suggestions, but I am not sure if a time line would help or hinder me, the readers or any other earthly presence at this point in the way of understanding our whereabouts and whereabeens!
I would like one of those maps though where the States that have been visited receive colored in status.
Hmmm…
I am currently, at this moment, at Starbucks in Houston, TX. We have gone through and gone through so much between now and Oregon though, that I think it best to keep on tracking the blog in chronological order and keep the bursts of excitement for what is happening in the moment from getting the best of me. Until I am caught up, that is.
Yes, they honor one anothers refill prices. Well, to be completely accurate, the barrista said if you bring in a Starbucks cup, they will honor the refill price…even if they know it is not from this store.
Thank you.
I am going to find out about the refill policy, right now! And um, prepare some more posts for the blog to inform you about all the glorious stuff that has happened in between there and here.
Damn, the cotradeco sight is becoming phenomenal! I love it! Superb work fellas!
My pleasure, gotta love Firefox…and the Guiness Book of World Records!
I am absolutely going to enter the 1090/1090 contest! I was a bit intimidated at first by the stock image photos you posted as examples (‘cause I of course, want mine to be the best) but I am over that and am now currently scratching my head and waiting for some creative inspiration.
Oooo, would you and Dave the Scrabble mongrel have a hay day! This is without a doubt his current and ongoing obsession.
He holds blueprints and maps to a still somewhat elusive plan on how to use H20 as fuel. He intends to convert his truck, in fact.
Well, this particular fixin’ of the Bus did include using my hair ties and a key-chain ring. It’s that generation gap thing.
Pardon all the confusion, the Bus is running, this incident was the prequel of a bigger breakdown, yet to come in documentation but a past occurrence in real time. I need to catch up indeed.
Thank you for the care and concern. While I intend to ‘kick things up a notch’, I do regret the unrecovered, to date, photos.
Keeping on here.
Oh zoe, we have to meet there sometime, it is hands-down, the most unique place I have visited and there is so much positive energy there. I love it!
I think you could take Dave, turns out he is an erratic player, though he has an extensive vocabulary and has a tendency to build on other words for stellar play. He was particularly proud of C-A-S-T-I-G-A-T-E.
Thank you for the call and I lament I haven’t returned it yet. :(
I trust and hope all is well, talk soon.
We are in fact nearing warmer waters and I look very forward to running free…and then some!
Thank you for joining us on our journey Sweet Essence.
Oh, it is certainly the photographer (yours truly) at fault here. The camera happens to be top notch.
Sadly, the hard drive that was storing all of our photos has crashed. Oh, I am ill behind it. It may take some days or weeks to (hopefully) recover the data. Should the recovery prove successful I will shine on you with every wonderful shot. I am getting a bit better as we go.
Good news! I happen to have some wonderful Roadside attraction photos in the cache, and lots to discuss on this topic! Look for it soon!
Ha-ha! I am glad someone noticed her jacket! Quite a get-up!?
Smick said he’s gonna get one!
Let it wander, it can be really good for you, when it is not destructive, that is.
Setbacks included, it is totally worth it.
Yes, but thank you bunches for the article! We took the entire Hwy 1 drive and it was phenomenal, albeit long. It looks like at first glance that the 12 in Utah will be next.
We’ll keep you posted!
Woo-hoo! HappyCamperBus says ‘Go for the Gold’, er, I mean the Hackintosh. We are really dying to see what happens!
Good luck and god’s speed.
We love you Bump…send me some photos when you get a chance of your new tat! I think about you so often and I am so thrilled about all the good stuff going on with you!
Glad you found Happy CamperBus’ spot, we’ll keep you posted on all of our adventures here.
Big hugs.
Kristen, you are the bomb-diggity! We are so there, thank you for the information! It is hard to say at this point what are timeframe is on getting there but I will make sure to keep you posted, I am so excited!
Zoe, I wish we were still in Santa Cruz , I regret not visiting your spots, but it has already become a loved spot of ours and we will visit again for sure, perhaps timing will allow us to take a jaunt there together! Oh, and I can hear the enthusiasm in your descriptors, we are excited to continue North, but I already can’t wait to go back.
Skyler! I am so glad you found me here! I am going to count on you heavily to pass on some wonderful spots to visit whence we head up to Eureka! I’ll be in touch soon! Big hugs!
Hi Kristen,
Thank you for your comments , it is exciting to learn that someone is keeping up with our travels!
We are going to be heading to Oregon, yes, and Washington…but I must say I am entirely intrigued by your mention of vortex sites?! I haven’t heard of this, but please, do tell! Sounds like a place we want to visit!
Thank you for the ongoing support and I certainly look forward to watching this wonderful community grow while experiencing so many different walks of life in one spot. I have already learned alot here. I spent a good hour perusing the coal mining sites, photos, history and personal experience. It is certainly enriching to keep track of who is doing what around here.
Thank you for the warning about my posts being flagged and I wonder if I should propose a warning of my own? I hadn’t really thought I had gotten to the gruesome parts yet!
I don’t know when the show will come out, but b-b-b-baby you just ain’t seen nothin’ yet! We have had quite a day!
Can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Yes! Snoop Dogg LOVES Roscoe’s too! I believe he ate there once with Larry King during an interview?
It is such a curious place to visit, not only is the food on hit, it is hard to tell if it is a classy joint or a haven for hoodlums! I can certainly picture him right at home at Roscoe’s.

Wow, I am tickled over this discussion and I adore your style, wit and ability to communicate your personal connection to and/or your knack for giving an accurate mash up of characters that describes your personality zoe. I am impressed, in fact.
I have though about my relation to these brilliant characters (J.H. does hit the mark on that deep spot within for our generation of folks) many times over the years actually and yet it proves a bit difficult to make that honest self-assessment at present. Regardless, here I go:
I am a mash up of Ferris Bueller and his neurotic best friend Cameron in equal doses, meets Andie Walsh from Pretty in Pink and a very real, though slightly different version of Allison Reynolds from The Breakfast Club.
I grew up in a very affluent neighborhood, but lived in an apartment complex. I was consistently striving to find creative ways to fit in with my surroundings (though not the crowd necessarily) and look “unique” at the least, always fighting having limited resources, so similar to Andie. I also longed to find just the right ‘one’ all the while putting up a good front.
In any and every circle I have been in, I tend to be the ‘idea man’, with the sneakiest, most unconventional and inappropriate ways to go about things (I purposely squelch voicing many of them for fear of being locked up), much like Ferris, though I suffer these days a very neurotic ‘do not do a thing to get in trouble’, streak akin to Cameron. When I have indulged in mega-trouble making, I have nearly always escaped due to the ‘goody-goody’ feel I tend to project. It it tedious. I do not often act out in the name of fun these days, but the brilliant plans continue to flood my mind assuredly.
While I am very social typically, my comfort zone is by far and wide to be an isolated, basket case who can push people away with my any given number of off=putting quirks. Thank you Ms. Allison for showing us that that sort of behavior and persona can still be permeated.
