Heavy-duty galvanized steel mesh molded into the bottom of the pad to help secure it to the concrete. Pads are quickly and easily installed by pressing into freshly poured concrete until the steel mesh is embedded and flush with surface. The pads are designed for the visually impaired so they can feel the difference in the surface by tapping to know where the upcoming intersection is.
