What is CamelBak® Elixir?

Elixir is an effervescent tablet that contains a unique blend of electrolytes designed to turn your water into a sports drink and help your body re-hydrate during physical activity.

Why is CamelBak® making an enhanced hydration drink?

We are a hydration company. We pioneered the hands-free hydration system. Elixir allows you to hydrate on-the-go more effectively and efficiently. Elixir is the only electrolyte-enhancement supplement that is specifically designed for use with a CamelBak® Hydration System.

What flavor is Elixir?

Elixir is currently available in Lemon-Lime flavor. More flavors are on the way!

How is Elixir packaged?

Elixir comes in a tube containing 12 tablets. The portable tubes can easily slip into a pocket. Now you can hydrate better anytime, anywhere.

How many servings are in a tube of Elixir? OR How much does a tube of Elixir make?

A tube contains 12 tablets. The recommended use is to dissolve one tablet in 24 oz. of water. A tube makes 2.25 gallons (8.2 L) of hydration drink.

How do I use Elixir?

Just drop 1 tablet into per 24 oz of water into your water source (bottle, reservoir, etc.) IMPORTANT: Make sure to leave the cap off of your water source while the tablet dissolves. Allow 3 minute for the tablet to dissolve. There is no shaking or mixing necessary. Once the tablet has dissolved, re-attach the cap. Enjoy.

Why should I use Elixir instead of plain water?

Studies show that your body re-hydrates quicker and more effectively with electrolyte-rich water.

When should I use Elixir, and how much should I consume?

Use it during any physical activity that causes you to sweat. Hydrate according to your normal routine with one tablet per every 24 oz of water.

Why is there NO SUGAR in Elixir?

Now you can hydrate without the sticky-sweet taste of most sports drinks on the market. Plus, Elixir gives you an opportunity to hydrate without taking in any additional calories. Plus, a sugar-free tablet works best with a CamelBak® reservoir. Because there’s no sticky residue left behind, the reservoir is easy to clean.

Can I eat Elixir tablets?

No. It is recommended to only use them by dissolving them in water.

How do I store Elixir?

Elixir should be kept in a capped tube at room temperature.

Is it OK to eat energy bars or gels while using Elixir?

Many energy bars and gels lack the proper amount of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, etc.) that are essential to restore the body to a hydrated state. To optimize your hydration efforts, it makes sense to use Elixir in conjunction with some other nutritional supplements during prolonged activity.

When I’m done using Elixir in my CamelBak® reservoir or water bottle, how do I clean them?

Clean our products as you would normally, either with CamelBak® cleaning products or with soap and hot water. Make sure to dry the products thoroughly. IMPORTANT – don’t confuse our Cleaning Tablets with Elixir Tablets!!!!
