This is the first of many musings for this journey, affectionately dubbed (by necessity for my registration with CouchSurfing.org), “Friends, family, & head clearing in 30 days or less.” Many updates to my trip will be posted to various social networks throughout each day but every so often I will be posting these longer updates.
I am a huge fan of Ice Cream! I remember when I was young we had a hand crank ice cream maker, I wanted Ice cream all the time and my Dad would only bring it out about once a year! I finally tried the UCO Ice Cream ball this past weekend! And WOW! Talk about easy and fun!
Hmmmm….I can hear it now…the kids of the future using the term “round up ready” to talk about any and all trees, just the way we use the terms Xerox or Kleenex. Mega-corporate owned forests! John Muir we need you now!

Let me be the first to say I love the new 1090 case! But I have to voice my discouragement with the 1090CC. Not the case itself, but the inability to get that case from Pelican!

Candlepower has been used for a long time to convey the brightness intensity and luminescence of flashlights and other lights. The only problem is that it is not a scientific measurement and has been used by some companies to grossly exaggerate the brightness of their lights with absurdly large “candlepower†numbers.
