April Fools. Did you get punk’d? I got super rick roll’d
April Fools. Did you get punk’d? I got super rick roll’d

So I woke up late. Thus I felt more compelled to get right to work than usual.

Though I had other projects to work on, I was going to check CoTradeCo and maybe post something, then get to work.

I sit down at my computer with my coffee, open firefox, head straight over to CoTradeCo and as the page loads I begin to notice that there are no vowels in most of the words on the page.

Then music begins playing. We don’t have music on our site? Was some other program running?

I was just asked to take a course by proxy toward someone’s Master’s. A friends mom intentionally asked me, knowing my firm moral values.

Well the day isn’t over yet, but I thought I would check in before I run out of energy or mental power to do so. This is an accounting of my first day on the Master Cleanse Fast. Also see the followup… I tried the Master Cleanse Lemonade Fast…and failed?

The detox diet is based on drinking a simple concoction. Drink as much of it as you want and in 5 to 10 days poop out 3’ long worms. I tried it and I might have failed. You be the judge.

Guard Dog or City life

After a fairly enjoyable day out at the park and some shopping (always doing my part as an american), we returned to a very busy neighborhood. Turning onto our block several north las vegas patrol cars were scattered about. Turning the corner with anticipation as to what excitement was transpiring on our street I saw a slew of cruisers up and down the street.

Day 1.5 (Friends, family, & head clearing in 30 days or less): Stuck
Day 1.5 (Friends, family, & head clearing in 30 days or less): Stuck

In my previous travelogue I relayed what started out as a fairly mundane first day of travel across the desert and ended in a harrowing “I’m stuck in the desert and I can’t get up” near tragedy. This post is an overly melodramatic and only mildly fictionalized accounting of those hours in Lordsburg, New Mexico.

Day 1 & 2 (Friends, family, & head clearing in 30 days or less): 3:10 to Yuma

This is the first of many musings for this journey, affectionately dubbed (by necessity for my registration with CouchSurfing.org), “Friends, family, & head clearing in 30 days or less.” Many updates to my trip will be posted to various social networks throughout each day but every so often I will be posting these longer updates.

Here we see the family gathering around a ‘tricked out’ brand new Ford Mustang. While everyone admires the 14 year old son gets behind the wheel and fires it up with some serious consequences.

Ghostly prankster, lucky drunk, or well calculated stunt pulled on or by the Garden City police department for fun? You decide.

Would like to share a quick bit from my day out today. myself and family went out to do a little shopping to pick up a gift for secret santa at work. We stopped at jasons deli, ordered some soup and sandwiches. As I tried to pay they said I had been taken care of.

I’m not sure what to think. We received a postcard yesterday indicating that our household would not be able to vote a polling place, since there wouldn’t be one.

The cycle continues…
The cycle continues…

Monarch Melissa emerged on October 30, royal and enchanting, blessing the world with her classy style and innumerable mysteries. My only complaint is that, even after I carried her chrysalis and some lovely nectar flowers carefully in a basket around Tierrasanta the day before, eating lunch at a sandwich shop and shopping for sweets for my grandma with her, she chose a moment to emerge the following day when mine eyes were absent from the scene.
