We had a most brief stay in Utah, just passed through really. It is unfortunate because Utah boasts some of the most beautiful scapes in the country.
It is a 100 percent confirmed eventuality that we will return; there is absolutely no way that I am going to miss Zion and ….the place where the MI3-Tom Cruise-Rockclimbing-scene took place.
We did buy Capone a sweater while we were in residence and I noticed something shift. (The two things being unrelated, of course). I was told for the first time, by a local,
that sleeping/parking overnight/camping/what-have-you, was completely safe in terms of the law. However, the local wildlife may be something altogether different to consider while ‘out there’.
I would like to add that I was shocked by the headline of this post. I personally have had nothing but bad experiences in Utah. From the people, from the law, from the weather.
Well okay I had one good ski trip to Brianhead. But otherwise Utah hates me and I just might hate it. But I hope that isn’t true, because when I start planning research trips for my novel, I will need to visit the north side of the lake to scout out a location and see what the people are like and I’m not sure my previous bad experiences need taken into account.
Anyway, hope all is well.
