So Marketing 101, you want to sell something, you put an adorable animal on top of it, right? Either that or have a supermodel stand next to it (preferably holding an adorable baby). Anyway, we don’t have a lot of supermodels around the office here, and I didn’t have a baby I could borrow, but I have been getting quite a few pictures lately of animals and UK Cases that I thought I would share.
It started when I brought one of our Loadout Cases back to my house to use and take a few photos of. My cat Charlie, being a cat, immediately felt it was his duty to get in the case, sit on top of it, and just generally roll around on it. While I doubt he was able to appreciate the rigid reinforced walls, or the fact that our cases are waterproof and dustproof, he did seem to enjoy cleaning himself on top of it. It seems that our cases are useful not only for carrying pretty much anything you can think of, but also make great cat beds/perches. I snapped a few photos and wrote it off as an isolated incident.
I was therefore surprised, however, when the animal-mania was continued the next day. Lauren (who works here with me as our Graphic Arts Director) recently returned from our offices in Germany. It seems the office over there has several resident mascots (Wittie the duck and Bennie the dog), both of which enjoy climbing all over our cases as well. It is doubtful that Wittie and Bennie know our Loadout cases are available with user configurable pluck foam filling, or that they have a pressure equalization valve that allows for easy opening after altitude or temperature change, but they definitely seemed to enjoy them as well. (Hey, I had to work some Shameless Promotion in here, it’s my job!!!)
This leads me to conclude that UK Cases are so awesome they have some sort of strange and powerful pull even over animals. I thought everyone here on CoTradeCo might enjoy seeing out “awwww-inducing pictures”? and maybe even compliment me on my wonderful orange cat. I also thought it would give us all a chance to swap animal stories/brag about our pets. Does anyone else on here have pets? What kinds? Do they sit on things you bring home from work as well?
Zoe, are you accusing me of using a fake duck to stage adorable photos???!!! I am offended!
Also, I’m a little surprised no one else took this opportunity to brag about their pets. Come on, CoTradeCo people, does no one else have an adorable cat, dog, or duck they want to show off?
I agree, I would have thought that just by posting anything about animals would have had them coming in droves.
Stacy? Where are you?
Tammy? Animal lover?
As for me I don’t really have any pets of my own right now. Though I spend so much time with my sisters dogs they feel like mine sometimes, but don’t tell my sister!
I have had a two pet rats over the years. Dogs and cats when I was a wee lad. A golden retriever who I was given the privilege somehow of naming Sir Spencer Frederick the third. I guess I have always been weird. Everybody just called him Spencer. Spencer has since passed but his family lives on with my dad and his wife who have a veritable army of retrievers now, one of whom is named Spencer-bear.
I’ll share more later. I have been somewhat indisposed for any social activities lately with the new site. Hopefully my life will return to normal, er better, soon.
Pet rats, hun? I always curious about what kind of pets they make…
I currently just have Charlie, although on the weekends I volunteer with an animal rescue organization and I am constantly tempted by the never-ending stream of abandoned kittens. I also get plenty of quality time with my parents’ dogs, a King Charles Caviler and a half chihuahua type thing that I think looks like a C.H.U.D but is oddly endearing.

I really thought the duck was fake, but I’ll take your word for it.
Even though they are from different offices, and homes, from around the world, I am shocked to see so many animals on (and in) UKcases. Leading me to believe your claim that UK cases indeed have animal magnetism.
Now if you could make UK cases perform alchemy on the items placed inside them I think we will all be even more pleased.
Great photos. Talk to you soon.
