Well now you can know. That is you can know if they bothered to register and post at Rotten Neighbors .
I’ve got to admit when I first found the site, I got all paranoid. I mean over the years, while not being bad neighbors really, we haven’t kept our yard up to the nicest standards. So when I looked up my address I expected to see complaints up and down the street about the people who let their yard go to the weeds.
But to my relief, no comments at all. Maybe it’s not that bad after all. I won’t consider that maybe this is a new site and my neighbors just haven’t discovered it yet.
Like a lot of sites like this, while humorous at times, they tend to bring out the worst in people. While the service claims to be attempting to provide a legitimate real estate service and help people pick “nice” neighborhoods, I think the name says it all. And some of the posts (and worse the comments say it all).
Like the woman and her dog who were threatened or the people who want to turn in their pot dealing neighbors or the white trash parking two cars in the street and ruining the fine treed view (this is kind of what I expected would be written about us :)
It is unfortunate that sites like Rotten Neighbors tends to bring out the worst in us. But hey, if you wanted to do something nice, maybe they could have called it “Nice Neighbors.”
I think I’ll go complain about that website like this guy at mybiggestcomplaint.com
