Open Source Stock Photography: The list

I am often in need of some stock photography. Of course it is always best, creatively speaking, to take your own original photographs or create your own unique illustrations. But sometimes you are either in a hurry or simply do not have access to the necessary resources or location. And that is when stock art can come in handy. However, the high cost for the best stock photography is always a problem.

Whenever possible I attempt to find open source or creative commons licensed stock art. For commercial uses it can be difficult sometimes to find an appropriate license, but starting with open source and creative commons you can often find free or extremely inexpensive good stuff. Since I’ve been wandering to so many sites for stock photography I thought I would post a list for everybody to share and contribute to. Once it is complete enough (and verified enough) we will make it a permanent resource in the Creative Endeavors community.
