You are going to hate this zoe! Windows XP is over…

This bit of info comes via Slashdot: Vista is Slower, But XP Is Still Dying

I’ve been hearing you talk about how you need to upgrade your computer and how excited you were to have XP running on a top of the line quad-core processor, but XP’s days are numbered, literally.

Looks like you need to consider switching to a Mac or Linux sooner than you thought (if you are serious about never going to Vista).

Vista VS XP image” blatantly borrowed from From may 07 till the end and their blog post Vista VS XP

Fighting the switch to Vista is equivalent to trying to stop a glacier. I’ve been on Vista on a PC and a laptop since it came out. I’m not sure that it is any slower but it does take time to adapt just like XP did when you installed it replacing Windows 98. Heck, if we wanted to stay with comfort we’d all still on 3.1. Remember the old saying that the only thing that is constant, is change.
