This was our analysis before the match started last night, and it was our top pick of the night as well in last night’s UFC matches:

KENNY FLORIAN -175 Joe Lauzon…....Ken Flo just gets no respect. No matter who he fights, and who he beats, no one is on this guys side. Florian is arguably the greatest warrior and competitor in the fight game. He brings it every time. Just look at his TUF competion to see this. This guy trains his butt off, and it shows. He simply is better than Lauzon in all facets of the game. He has far more experience, and flat out wants it more. People are backing Joe Lauzon, but we just don’t see it. Take the underrated Ken Flo Florian -175 as he easily cuts up and beats Joe Lauzon.

Pretty much spot on as Florian pounded Lauzon in round two before Herb Dean called it in favor of Florian. Round one was back and forth, and Florian was given a warning for shots to the back of Lauzon’s head. Although Lauzon had position a few times, it appeared even early in round one that Lauzon had control. By round two it was not very close at all, as Florian repeatedly was in mount position delivering blow after blow to the head and face of Lauzon.

Florian should have taken another big step forward to contend for the title here.
