Thank You

I am not a member of this community but I figured it was a good place to share my thoughts. I am a native San Diegan and as most of you know we just went thru another fire storm a few weeks back. A friend of mine sent me some pics recently of the local fire and the one that I have attached really stood out when I was looking at them. I can not even imagine being these two firefighters and facing this kind of a scene over and over again. Last week I was making a trip out to the desert and I went up via I-15 past Fallbrook, while passing the Pala Mesa resort I thought of these two men in the picture. The scene was one of devastation, yet you could see time and time again where trees next to houses were burned and the homes remained untouched. I wanted to take a moment of time to say Thank You to not only the Fire fighters, Cal Fire, Police, Sheriffs and etc.. Thank you for putting your life on the line to protect not only life, but property. I do not know how you do it, but thank you!!!!

I second that

I just remember sitting dumbfounded listening to the radio all day. I go through different stages with tragedies like this. First it seems fascinating and shocking all at once. Then the reality and humanity of it all takes over. I start thinking about the peoples lives who are being affected and devastated, and then you start thinking about the countless people involved in stopping the fire, evacuating people, protecting people and property, taking people in, doing whatever they can. But sheesh the firefighters and police officers working day in and day out on so little sleep doing such hard work…it just blows the mind.

So I would also like to say thank you. For all you have done, all that you have yet to do. Thanks.

Anybody who risk there own lives for a living has my eternal gratatude and respect.
I will allways remember with awe the sights that were shown on our locale tv stations. To bad the rest of this country will never see true heros in action.
