The same gear in a different environment will require different EQ when running monitors. Unlike mixing in the studio, a monitor engineer must be acutely aware of the room, placement of mics, and everything in the environment. A monitor engineer doesn’t have the luxury of simply EQ-ing to flavor.

Good solid advice to help you get started mixing monitors.

As a side note they are using the same JBL monitor wedges we use at the CCAE.
