That is a brilliant bit of advice. I would add a third type of potential customer. The one who THINKS they like how they are doing it and THINKS that WHERE/WHO they are doing it with is wrong but that the way is just fine. These people are probably just a pain in the ass who are difficult to make happy and not creating a unique market position is likely to help you get some of those customers.
