Are you aware that nearly every photo see in magazines are retouched? This video shows how it is done and discusses the implications of this altering of reality.

That’s the point. Why so much retouching knowing many people look good as they are? I liked the simplicity of this video to make the point. The video in itself was not overly touched up.
I think it is important to remind girls especially that what they see in magazines doesn’t reflect reality. I even catch myself looking at those magazines and thinking, “Wow so-and-so is so beautiful,” full well knowing that what I am seeing isn’t real.
Kind of sad really.
