My first and Hopefully last road trip! Day 1

WOOF, WOOF AND A BIG SLOPPY KISS FROM YOUR’S TRULY THE ONE THE ONLY COOLEST AND GREATEST GOLDEN RETRIEVER ON THE PLANET MAX!

As I chill here, I think all Golden’s feel this way; and why should we not! Be that as it may, I have a travelogue to write; so get comfortable and get ready to give me a lot, and I mean a lot of your attention, cause of course I’m a Golden Retriever.

My adventure began in usual Golden fashion with lots of high, unnecessary, Drama.
Thinking my people were leaving me behind and such other useless clatter.
My people were cool though and got ME a cool ride to go on the road with. It was all decked out for me, with my nice and soft furry blanket, all nicely appointing a most luxurious in size, I must say; back seat. This was only befitting for a Golden of my stature and self-centered importance!

Anyway; we got on the road heading for who knows where!
My head out the window, ears flapping in the breeze, people laughing at me as they went by. OW! DANG BUG JUST POPPED ME IN THE MUG! NOT COOL!!!
So as I lay on the backseat chilling to tunes; I had to wonder what perilous journey awaited me down the road. Oh, cool! Pit stop!
Our journeys first stop was in Ridgecrest. It was early enough that all of us could chill in a nice cool pool. Well my people, not I.
I had to stay leashed outside the fence, looking in with my best pathetic look I could muster.
Until some really cool strangers came by and petted me and talked to me, wow! Making new friends every where I go; COOL!
I wasn’t to keen on going to sleep though, room was tight, no dog sofa, different smells, it just wasn’t right! Well my people straightened me out real quick; outside in the car all night was not what I had in mind!
( to be cont.) Check in on Monday for more of my excellent adventures!

This is part 1 of MAX the Golden Retriever’s First and Hopefully Last, Road Trip. Max is the fun loving companion to Stacy and Buddy, proud members of the CoTradeCo family.

Max, ask your mom and dad how long they would ride in the backseat with no seat belt on and with their head out the window.

Ah the misunderstood life of a dog. Dog’s are always so quick to jump to conclusions and act like the world is coming to an end if you don’t devote 100% attention to them.

Max, hang in there friend. I know Stacy and Buddy take really good care of you and love you with all their hearts. You are in their thoughts even when they are busy on the other side of the fence. For some reason some humans don’t think dogs should be allowed to do everything humans do. Perhaps you could spend your down time between car rides and walks becoming politically active and seeking more rights for dogs of all breeds!

Take care Max.

Max, you don’t know how easy you’ve got it! I think you need to bark on the brighter side of life. You may not be a puppy anymore, but the excitement of life never ends. Count your blessings that you have people who take you in their air conditioned car and give the opportunity to get a bug in the face. A lot of dogs would kill for that kind of life.

Now that I realize my dog took over my computer at some point today, I am a bit concerened!! First off I would like to set the record straight. The A/C was on!! But Max demanded to have his window rolled down so he could stick his head out! Not my fault the bugs found his mug!!! Also he was never threatened on the first night or any of the nights to follow that we would make him sleep in the car! Trust me when I say every night he slept on the floor by my side!

Remember Max, I will be reading the rest of your journal and I will keep the record straight!!
