These are my 3 Apple tree seedlings. They are also my 3rd attempt at growing an apple tree. The first 2 both died from wind and sun exposure (a testament to the use of sunscreen I Guess) upon leaving the security of home. These 3 however have boosted my my odds of success proportionately. Later, when they have better differentiated themselves, I will choose new names for each, then we can choose favorites. As of now, being less than one week since becoming little sproutlings, my original names, First, Second, and Runt will need to be replaced. I’m guessing Runt is just pacing himself. I have little info on these little guys background, They were growwn from apples bought at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve Harvest Market. The apples came across the California border and were grown pesticide free, They were tasty. These little guys need all the support they can get, just out of view are the remains of earlier attempts as well as dead and dying herbs(sorry tammy). I will keep all posted on their adventures.
We are all thinking good thoughts for your apple trees! Keep us updated on their progress. Are you doing time lapse photography of their growth?
Any update? I love that people in urban environments seem to be growing their own food and keeping gardens beyond decoration again. Good luck in your endeavors. Post some new pics every month so we can watch them grow!
The apple trees are long dead, it has been a long mourning process but I have found hope in my newly sprouted basil.

After seeing the demise of the basil, seemingly faster than Santa on Christmas eve, I really didn’t have much hope for the oregano. As for the apples, whisper to them daily, “Red is the color of passion and you are the fiery incarnation of applesauce!” Believe me, They will grow!
