Yeah!! It’s official. It is now Christmas in San Diego!! Tonight was the official lighting of the Christmas Tree in Horton Square. It was perfect there was the tree, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and SNOW!!! Ok so the snow was really a soapy bubble mix, that came from a machine, but it is San Diego what can you expect. It was still fun, it was a great reason to bundle up, and get out for a walk!
The biggest surprise was after the tree was lit and on the way home the Horton Grand was bathed in red and green, really quite lovely. I have attached pics which I hope you will enjoy!
This weekend is the “Holiday Nights” or for us old folks “Christmas on the Prado” in Balboa Park. If you are in the area you do not want to miss it! The Natural History Museum is the best place to pick up your bag of Mistletoe and the money goes to a great cause. This year they are adding an ice skating rink and for $5.00 including the skate rental a pretty good deal. And always the Glogg is a good warmer upper (you must be over 21)! Also as a side note, while in Balboa Park check in to getting tickets to see the Grinch! It is a fabulous performance and great for all ages!!
Also Little Italy is having there Christmas Tree lighting on Saturday evening. They will be having Hot Cider and snacks and fun stuff as well.
Enjoy the Holidays!!!
