Hey everybody!! Just wanted to give a quick introduction about myself. My name is Sergio Chavez and I’m 26 years old. I am the Assistant Electrician at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. And no, unlike Dwight Schrute who is Assistant TO the Regional Manager, I am NOT Assistant TO the Master Electrician. I am also a union stagehand, working for the International Alliance of Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) Local 122. I take my apprentice test next Tuesday, so I’m not quite a member yet. I have been with Local 122 for a year and a half. Before that, I was a project manager for a computer rental company called National Micro Rentals. I did tradeshow A/V for 4 years. It equipped me with the knowledge I needed to kick ass with Local 122.
I spend most of my free time with my lovely wife, Loni. When I’m not pissing her off, I try to make it out to as many concerts as possible. I’ve been going to punk rock/hardcore shows since I was 14. I also like to dork off to my XBOX 360 and 50” plasma for R&R time at home.
Feel free to hit me up and chat people!
PS
Zoe, you need an affirmation corner on this.
Great introduction Sergio.
Perhaps you could use some of your “street cred” to get friends and co-workers from your local to get involved here. Zoe apparently doesn’t have the same “juice” you have.
Oh, and your introduction photo strikes quite the tableaux. “Still life with Sergio and random objects” . Are prints available?

Zoe’s Affirmation
In these times of new web sites, new introductions, struggling economies, and shirtless men on stationary bikes I would like to thank Sergio for taking the time to post a proper introduction. Sergio has alway been there for me. He is my BFF. He is the first person I ever sent a text message to (I think) and I’m not sure if that was a good idea. Sergio gives me strength (especially when I’m about to say something stupid and think better of it, I think, ‘WHAT WOULD SERGIO DO’ – and I say it anyway!). When I think I should be working instead of playing video games I think what would Sergio do’. When I think how do I get ripped for the ladies I think what would Sergio do (and then I drink a bunch of Jaeger that I store on a Greek column I stole from my recent trip to Greece).
So in the these troubled times of recession, war, and whole new levels of political corruption and vanity I turn to Sergio, not to accept it all or feel comfortable that it will all work out, but to just laugh at it all and know that my score on Guitar Hero can only get better.
Thanks for the great introduction. Someday I hope I can be Assistant to the regional something, er I mean Assistant regional something.
