Funny Dave.

You know that view looks vaguely familiar. I’m sure is nowwhere near it but is reminding me of the landscape around interstate 40 between the 95 and the 15 south of Vegas and Northwest of Lake Havasu. It was off Essex road I believe. It was a national park site if I recall and even though I can see it on Google Maps it doesn’t have a name there.

But my sister and I decided to take another route back from Vegas after visiting my brother and his family. This site was the last one we could stop at before it got dark. So we drove miles off the highway to get up on top of this hill/mountain and enjoyed the sunset from there. We were on the wrong side of the hill to really enjoy the sunset, but it was amazing watching the countryside vanish into the long shadows of the hills. Something about the vegetation in your picture reminds me of that place.

Did I mention I love your posts Dave? Sometimes the images and topics are random and short/sweet, but you have a way of reminding me of things I like being reminded of.

Take care Dave!
