1960 Highest turnout of voters, comparing elections between 1924 and 2000.

1988 Pat Robertson, TV Evangelist, garnered enough support rallying new activists into the Republican Party that the Party’s platform was made more conservative and carried the State of Washington for Pat Roberson for president. The ground-swell of supporters waned as interest declined leaving the power in the Party to the moderates.

1998 Just 36.4 percent of voters cast their ballots in 1998, the lowest since 1942 – Just over 1 in 3.
Only one in five. Less then 20 percent of 18-24 years-olds chose to vote.

2000 Voter turnout was the lowest than in the previous 20 Presidential Elections.
Only one of 2 1/2 eligible young adults voted in 2000.

Between 1972 and 2000 the national voting turn-out for the 18-24 year age group declined by 10 percent. Only three of four. 75 percent of those over 25 years old voted.

2004 The Issues that mattered most in the 2004 elections were: 22% Moral Values, 20% the Economy, 19% Terrorism. and 15% Iraq.
