Cleaning up and getting organized

Not all of us can afford personal assistants and maids, but maybe you would still enjoy a clean and organized home. I know in my life this can be hard. Life just gets busy sometimes and the next thing you know your house is falling down around you with clutter and mess. Even if we can’t afford the PA and a cleaning staff we could all use a little help.

For some of us getting organized might be as simple as a white board, some erasable markers, and creating better habits. Keeping the house tidy might come down to regularly decluttering closets and drawers while drafting a household storage plan. Even knowing what to do it’s still hard to keep track of and stay on top of it all. But I found this great site that gives you lot’s of advice, checklists, forms, tips, and even the inspiration to get your house under control.

Check out OrganizedHome for all sorts of help taming those dust bunnies and getting rid of clutter.

And I know some of you men around here could surely use some help getting cleaned up and organized (and I don’t mean just getting married :)

www.lifeorganizers.com is another site and it also includes Organizing your Wellness and Office, and various other areas of life.

I have used some tips from lifeorganizers.com before. The Organized home looks kind of useful, but definitely geared towards the house (which is important and I could use help with), but I definitely can use assistance keeping my professional life (i.e. my desk, email, and schedule) organized.

Thanks for reminding me of the lifeorganizers site Kristen.

Tidy??? That’s a four letter fightin’ word my friend. Create new habits??? I’m having a dickens of a time trying to eliminate the habits I already own. Yes, my small living environment is a mess, but my easy solution is to close my eyes and it all goes away. Miraculous…Wshhh…no cleaning products, white boards, or maids needed. Of course I expect one day soon the Board of Health may knock on my door with a film crew. Headlines will read “Community help needed…save wicked east coast widow from her life of dust bunnies and other unidentifiable floating objects.”

Next week we can discuss laundry.
