Peanut dipping sauce
beingzoe 2 months ago // Subscribe Home & Family Life Gibber-gabber

All this peanut butter talk inspired me to try and find a videojug (how to; life explained on film) video about it. I didn’t find peanut butter I found this delicious looking peanut dipping sauce. I love sauce. I love peanut butter. I love dipping hors d’oeuvres (well actually I just like hors d’oeuvres and dipping just about anything). So I thought I would post this one.

While the recipe is recommended for satay dishes, I think you will find all manner of things to dip into this yummy sauce. This recipe will take about 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic (I might throw some extra in but that’s just me)
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice (good to have around anyway for those gin and tonics)
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar (I might add a little more but I have a sweet tooth)
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp crushed hot red chili pepper flakes
  • 5 oz crunchy peanut butter
  • 5 1/8 fl. oz canned coconut milk
  • some fresh coriander
  • 2 Tbsp crushed salted peanuts

Utensils and tools

  • knife
  • chopping board
  • food blender/processor
  • tablspoon
  • teaspoon
  • cup
  • serving bowl
  1. Chop and crush
    • Dice the onion and crush your garlic. Add to food processor.
  2. Add some more stuff and blend
    • Add the lime juice, brown sugar, curry powder, red pepper flakes, and a few sprigs of coriander to the blender. Blend approx. 30 seconds until smooth and even.
  3. Add some more and blend some mroe
    • Now add your peanut butter and coconut milk. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve it up.
    • Pour into a serving bowl. Crush your peanuts and sprinkle over the sauce. Serve this delicious peanut dipping sauce at room temperature.

Enjoy!
