Spring Training

Wow is time flying by. Can you believe that catchers and pitchers report to spring training on February 15th? We drove over to Peoria, Arizona to see the Padres four years ago and it was really fun. You sit really close to the players and get a chance to interact with them between games. The side benefit is that you get a chance to warm your bones out in the desert sun (unless you’re a Dodger fan and are headed to Vero Beach, Florida).

Can’t we just get through the Super Bowl before immersing into all things baseball…the crack of the bat, the dust sliding into second base, the thrill of a triple play or grand slam???
This is just like Christmas decoration in the stores the day after Labor Day.

Give us die hard NFL fans a fighting chance – Arizona here we come.
