My son needs to share something that starts with the letter E tomorrow at preschool, and it cannot be a toy. Ideas? I hate the thought of sending him off with an egg (won’t make it through the door without breaking) and clearly we don’t have an elephant to offer up to Children’s World of Music. I’m looking for any ideas…think 3 years old..E..E…E..
Electricity!
Have him bring in a voltmeter that he can stick into the wall and maybe a tesla coil. The kids will love it!
Seriously though: Eraser, eggplant, earrings, electrodes, eight (big number cutout with the word spelled over and over inside), eagle, elf, elbow, emerald, engine (could use a toy car), or an english muffin.
Thank you for the ideas – we went with Erasers, found some fun animal shaped ones, so each child will get an “E” goodies – we are using the big E as Zoe states above to help with the explanation! Thanks for the great ideas. I will have to keep this marked as a good resource for fresh ideas!
Next time, I’m counting one one of you to be Elvis for share day.
Dan – a book on EARS was brought to school today by Riley’s friend, and it was a success. Ears, erasers, elbows, eyes and eggs..
Next week is I…start thinking now..
Hey Kristin!
I have warm and fuzzies thinking about you and yours….you have been extrodinarily fun on the site as of late!
Anyhoo, I have been thinking of the letter ‘I’ and I have come up with….Iceplant (if you have such a thing?) Incense holder, Insects (really cool for show and tell), Instillation or Inflatable __ (fill in the blank…yoga ball, bicycle tire, etc.) or Igloo doghouse…which might be bulky to transport, granted.Keep us posted!
We are going with…..insects, lots of ‘em! Thanks for the idea. I wanted to make an igloo, out of sugar cubes. Looking a the clock tick away I see that I will have to plan and execute in advance next week – I am sure I will be posting for help again soon!

It seems easy to me. It’s his ear and he has to take it with him anyway.
