Pelican product updates for 1610, 1620, 1650, & 1660 cases

As we get information from our suppliers we do our best to make sure it is available to you. The following product bulletin from Pelican addresses some product changes for the Pelican 1610, 1620, 1650, and 1660 cases.

Following is an update on the timing of modifications to Pelican’s 1610, 1620, 1650 and 1660 Cases. Please refer to our OEM website periodically for continued updates and to view and download CAD drawings- www.pelicanoem.com. The enclosed document references new part numbers and can also be found on our OEM website.

1610 case

Modifications scheduled for mid October

• The dolly handle release catch will be replaced with a 1510 style tongue release.

1620 case

Modifications scheduled for mid October

• The dolly handle release catch will be replaced with a 1510 style tongue release.

1650 case

Modifications scheduled for late November

• Dimensions will remain the same, but there will be a major redesign to drop weight and also replace the current 1660 dolly with a 1640 dolly. There will be approximately a 5 pound reduction to the weight of this case.

1660 case

Modifications scheduled for early November

• Dimensions will remain the same, but there will be a redesign to drop weight and also replace the current 1660 dolly with a 1640 dolly. There will be approximately a 2 pound reduction to the weight of this case.

Old versions of the cases will not be available after the new versions launch. As we transition from old style to new style, a Technical Bulletin for each case will be posted at http://www.pelican.com/support/bulletins/index.php.
