Cake, a short playlist to introduce you
beingzoe 10 months ago | 1 response     Subscribe Creative Endeavors Music

Cake is among my favorite bands of all time. Happy, cynical, and smart-ass enough to satisfy the depths of my personality.

If you aren’t familiar check them out and see what you think. Thanks to chad hunter for putting together this “short play long flavored” playlist at imeem for me to share with you all.

Okay this is lame. You have to have an account at imeem and be logged in to hear the whole song, that or the artist needs to explicitly allow full length streaming offsite in the embeds. I apologize. You can hear the full tracks here at imeem.

If you are unfamiliar, imeem allows you to upload and share original music and video as well as copyrighted materials through their licensing. Not quite sure yet how this all works yet with imeem, but we have included imeem so artists and filmmakers have another way and place to expose their music and share it with everybody at CoTradeCo and at imeem.

CoTradeCo is still working on our own API, mashup possibilities, and original tools for networking folks together. While it is true that Cake is one my favorite bands, this post was really a test of the new imeem embeddeability here at CoTradeCo. And it has been quite a learning experience let me tell you.

Thanks for spending some time at CoTradeCo, lot’s of neat stuff coming down the pike. This post isn’t one of them :)

About posting to community blogs

Post anything. Talk about work, life, or play. Get and give advice and tips. This is a trading post so feel free to promote yourself, projects, or your business (just don't spam!).

You need a SPOT to post new discussions on the community blog and comment on other people's posts.

Some folks call it a blog, a forum, or questions and answers. Trader Dan is old fashioned and thinks of it as folks talking and having a good time.

The only real rules are NO SPAM, don't be rude, and indicate if your post is NSFW. These things tend to peeve Trader Dan no end. Promoting yourself is okay if it is meaningful to the community, but limit yourself or you will be deleted. Controversy is okay, but hate, flaming, and jerks are not.
