The Georgia Bulldogs are my #3 team in the Country. Most “experts” have this team as #1. I obviously don’t. They are absolutely loaded, and a run to the BCS National Title Game wouldn’t surprise me one bit. They have a dynamic offense, and a stifling defense. They return 14 starters, and have all the tools. However, playing in the SEC conference is just brutal. I’m not sure they will have anything left in the tank when December rolls around. Either way, this team is FOR REAL.

While i don’t agree with the way Mark Richt runs his program, he is a solid football coach. He also brings in the best talent in the country. A perfect example of that is Knowshon Moreno. Most people now know who this RB is, thanks to his ESPN the Magazine Cover. This kid was a revelation last year, and many compare him to the great Herschel Walker. I wouldn’t go that far, but he is an amazing back. He can do it all, whether its running over defensive backs or catching the ball out of the backfield. Another 1st Round draft pick is QB Matthew Stafford. This Junior is one of the best QB’s in the country. There really is no weakness on this side of the ball. They return 7 starters on offense this year. What’s amazing is their depth. They can go 2 deep at every offensive position, and not have much of a drop off. Injuries won’t affect this team.

On defense is where Georgia shines the most. That’s amazing considering how great their offense is. Defensively they return 7 starters as well. They have dynamic playmakers all over the field. They pressure the opposing QB, they can blitz,and they can contain. 8 of their starters on defense will be playing at the next level. It’s insane how talented this unit is. I’m not sure there is a better secondary in the country. Because of this, teams just won’t be able to keep up with the Bulldogs, since their secondary is ridiculous.

All told, this team is LEGIT. They are on the extreme short list of teams that can win it all. The only reason i have them at #3 is because of their schedule. They have a daunting schedule, with tons of difficult games. If they are able to get thru this season with only 1 loss, they are more than deserving in playing in the BCS Title Game. I just think their coaching will do them in somewhere down the line. Either way, an amazing season awaits. The Georgia Bulldogs are my #3 team in the country.
