It pains me to even write this article, as it’s no secret i HATE the Florida Gators. I’ve never liked them, and never will. However, i must admit that they are pretty damn good. I don’t think any team in the SEC will play in the title game because the league is just too freakin hard. Top to bottom, the SEC is better than the NFC West. Florida is really good, and they have an outstanding coaching staff. I have all the respect in the world for Coach Meyer and staff.

The offense starts with QB Tim Tebow. I hate this guy, but most people love him. He’s an amazing College Quarterback. He is a perfect system player for Coach Meyer. Their version of the spread is absolutely tailor made for Tim Tebow. Because of this, Tebow has a chance to be one of the best college football players of all time. A player i like alot more is Percy Harvin. This junior WR is electric. Outside of Noel Devine and Jeremy Maclin, Harvin is the most explosive player in the country. He is a dynamic offensive player, and the Gators utilize him in ways that spread him all over the field. 7 starters return on offense, and they have a chance for continued dominance.

Defense is what will make the Gators better than last year. They return 8 starters, and have enormous depth at nearly every defensive position. Their linebacking core is the strength of the defense. They are led by Brandon Spikes, who is a 1st Round Draft Pick in waiting. This guy is a beast, and has a chance to be real special on Sundays.

The reason i have the Gators so high this year is their schedule. They really only have one “difficult” road game, and that’s against Tennessee. 11-1 or 10-2 is a distinct possiblility. Their matchup with Georgia will be an ESPN Instant Classic. From a betting stand point, i’m staying away from this team. More often that not, the Gators line is INFLATED. In SEC league play, they will be a solid side to wager on. The Gators are my #6 team in the Country.
