Well, I was expecting the D to be good and the O to suck. I ended up seeing the complete opposite. Orton impressed me and the D was down right embarrasing. I think they only had one 3 and out the entire first half. The D looked old and slow to me. Not good. I’ll be staying away from taking the Bears D in fantasy this year.

Bears hung tough in the first half last night offensively though DB. I think in that weak division it will come down to the Bears or Minnesota.

all those trends are fine and all, and it doesn’t surprise me coming from a guy who plays LARGE FAVORITES.

Let’s not forget it is FRIDAY. IT’s A HUGE PUBLIC FAVORITE AT UNBELIEVABLE JUICE. And its the only day game.

No matter what anybody says, the bottom line is this board has seen what happens more often than not in this case. Let’s also not forget that the Nationals are 2-1 against the Cubs this year. Also of note, the Nats have arguably their best pitcher going today on a big BOUNCEBACK.

All i’m saying is lookout for all Cubs backers today, especially ones hitting the RL to lower the juice. Time and time again, bad things happen to people who eat the juice and follow the money in the Friday day game.

That being said, i have no play on this game. But i sure as hell aren’t following the Cubs. ABSOLUTELY NO VALUE WHATSOEVER in this game.

I agree with you 100% TSBM. No way i’m taking Cubs or Nats in this game, its a friday trap, and i’ve said how i feel about big market teams, especially on Filthy Friday. There is no action in this game.

I find it funny that you all call expensive games high juice. I have always considered juice to be the delta between the two lines (ie- -220 and +200 = 20 juice). Semantics…

I do love heavy favorites, but not all of them. I play a few dogs when i see a glitch in the matrix, and I think COL was my only doggie this week. Not all heavies are justified (PHI last night), but some are (Webb, Halladay, Lee yesterday).

the o/u in SF is schizo to say the least. They have been an ‘under team’ all year but this is not the same team. Very dynamic in that they have a bunch of kids who are trying to make a name for themselves. Results usualy in either a horrible day swinging at everything or they are hitting the ball everywhere. Very inconsistent. Whereas the veteran are over it, they are cashing checks and snapping panties with hookers, these kids are playing ball. But Lince vs the Madres in a pitchers park should be a solid play. He is great at home, loves a friday too. In Sf we call him the Franchise so he gets jacked to play at home. Not a “lock” but far from a bad play.

Funny how those lone day games work. It doesn’t really matter that it is Friday, although it doesn’t help. Poor cubs have been stuck with so many lone day games this year, and the somehow manage to make vegas happy about 75% of the time. Amazing how that works!! The worst team, on the worst streak with all the trends pointing against them should be even money on weekday single day games…

We have a couple of long shots in good top 20 position with Kim & Curtis at the Barclays and Janzen just outside at #22. Hopefully one of them can have big days tomorrow on moving day!

Anytime you have Tim on the mound for SF you have to like them. We were on him to start the year and he paid off well until more and more people jumped on board with him. I thought he should have started the all-star game personally. In pitching terms, he is no doubt the franchise.
