Hi! I am Happy Camperbus! I have not been active on cotradeco as of late, but I am a huge fan of the website, of this cutting edge yet extremely down-to-earth band of beautiful people, and I hope to be back on board soon.
I wanted to welcome you and say hello. There is an enthusiasm that you bring here and I look forward to reading your posts.

Thank you for signing up. Sorry it took so long for someone to respond. I usually greet everyone straight away, but hopefully soon the communities will be so busy nobody will notice if I don’t jump in.
Which begs the question regarding your statement, “although i have to admit I don’t really know just exactly we do here lol.”
The generic and not so useful answer is, “Whatever you like.” It’s a community blog. That is to say, people posting anything about anything and interacting with other folks. A post to the community blog could be a discussion like on a forum, maybe an article, a personal experience, sharing tips, tricks, advice, tutorials, discussing the pro and cons of products and services, well anything. This is a trading post style community so sharing life’s adventures from around the world AS WELL AS taking the opportunity to promote personal ventures, projects, and businesses is highly encouraged.
At present the format is wide-open allowing for the same basic features as any other “social networking” site. But as each unique community grows the tools and functionality of each community will expand to provide useful features and resources devoted to the people using the site.
While this has been a cost effective way to launch the trading post, it has unfortunately created some ambiguity as to the role and function of the trading post. The bottom line was that we wanted to create a more “grown-up” type of “social network” that also relied heavily on “social knowledge” as a resource and shopping site where everybody benefits in one way or another.
There are a lot of generic community sites, and a lot of niche forum communities, and we are simply attempting to put it all together on one site that let’s you meet people and share information within your specific areas of interest but in an environment that promotes cross-networking and information sharing in related communities.
Think Craigslist meets Amazon crossed with Facebook for intelligent productive folks with specialized interests and professions.
And du6 your introduction post is ideal. As a stagehand and entrepreneur I would love to swap stories and knowledge. While it might take another year :) to make this the biggest and best set of specialty communities on the internet, each new member, each new post, each new opportunity posted helps bring meaning and context to the CoTradeCo community. Because the bottom line is that CoTradeCo is about the people who use it.
I’m impressed and somewhat surprised to see that you have office in Second Life. I’ve only recently become more familiar with Second Life and have posted two “articles” on the subject here and here at CoTradeCo in the Digital Life community . I still haven’t signed up, though I tried one day, but got hung up on picking a clan/last name, and abandoned the sign up.
Which also reminds me that I recently started repurposing content from a computer “class” I did, as well as writing new articles for a series called Computers 101 and we would be honored if you would add to this knowledge with your comments and original posts and articles with your computer experience.
Anway, I hope you are well. Now I have to go sign up for Second Life so I can see your offices.
Thank you for signing up, I look forward to chatting with you more. I hope CoTradeCo can play some small part in your personal and professional life that brings many positive opportunities and friendships.
