We had our first, of two, Thanksgiving’s today, this one at our house. I’m full, no stuffed, actually, sick from all the food. However, I will say, it was well worth it and I look forward to another evening of stretch sweatpants tomorrow.

Trader Dan, MADD Mother’s Against Drunk Driving is always looking for volunteers, and ways to increase the ability to catch drunk drivers – would this be a good fit for their organization?

Here is a stuffing recipe that I have made before that is one of my favorites:
Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
INGREDIENTS (use fresh sage, rosemary, thyme and parsley if possible, it makes a BIG difference)

• 1 1/2 cups cubed whole wheat bread * 3 3/4 cups cubed white bread * 1 pound ground turkey sausage * 1 cup chopped onion * 3/4 cup chopped celery * 2 1/2 teaspoons dried sage * 1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary * 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme * 1 Golden Delicious apple, cored and chopped * 3/4 cup dried cranberries * 1/3 cup minced fresh parsley * 1 cooked turkey liver, finely chopped * 3/4 cup turkey stock * 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C). Spread the white and whole wheat bread cubes in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes in the preheated oven, or until evenly toasted. Transfer toasted bread cubes to a large bowl.
   2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage and onions over medium heat, stirring and breaking up the lumps until evenly browned. Add the celery, sage, rosemary, and thyme; cook, stirring, for 2 minutes to blend flavors.
   3. Pour sausage mixture over bread in bowl. Mix in chopped apples, dried cranberries, parsley, and liver. Drizzle with turkey stock and melted butter, and mix lightly. Spoon into turkey to loosely fill.

It’s cold here, but not that cold, although there is frost in the morning. HOWEVER, it is 81 in Honolulu, which is where I will be sitting when you return to California!

You are right, stuffing inside, dressing outside. So the question to me is, if you are making stuffing, is there a chance that some stuffing doesn’t get cooked properly (meat, sausage, whatever you use) because if you waited long enough for the stuffing to reach the right temperature, you would overcook the turkey? Either way, I’m in, love both of them.

Not to dread… And here is why. Once you decide to dread, you have little or no options of any other way for your hair to be. When your hair is not dreaded, you can choose what to do – allows you to continue a spontaneous and free spirit way. That’s my opinion.

This has happened to me before, in the outdoors here in Washington. The place is called the Indian Heavens, I was so frightened I backed away from the place I was standing. I assure you, there was NO ONE anywhere near where I was hiking…

Even if being chased I am not sure I could, or would run, which is why I carry a cell phone in hand to dial 911 in case of emergency.

I really like the photo, it is eeerie, yet sort of calming? Strange. I think it is neat how you can see the dark sky through the trees on the top right side..

Paper suspenders do rock, and paper makes a great costume, in so many ways. I was thinking of getting wrapped up in toilet paper to be a mummy.
