We spent five days in the valley a couple of years ago and it seemed that no matter what we wanted to see it was 50 miles away from the hotel. Scotty’s castle is always a favorite and worth calling ahead to set up a tour time. It still is hard to imagine Scotty carving out such a great spot.
What a wonderful place to land. We love New Mexico, especially the plaza in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. One of the best places for breakfast anywhere is the Frontier Cafe across from the college in Albuquerque. Great food and very affordable. The people in New Mexico are so nice and there is so much to see. We look forward to seeing the state through your eyes.
When there is a new item everyone wants to insure that it is priced competitively and ours certainly is. In looking at other sites it is very easy to become confused as to what the true cost is. For instance on one site they offer “free freight on orders over $ 150.00.” They then price point some items at $ 149.50 and charge freight and a handling fee. Our offer is simple, we ask how you want the item shipped (FEDEX ground; USPS; UPS) and only pass on the actual freight. If you are in law enforcement then the freight on the 7060 and 8060 is free; ditto for the military.
WE HAVE THEM FOR IMMEDIATE SHIPMENT!
And, along the way all of the vendors who sell the state don’t get paid until there is a budget. The guys in Sacramento have no trouble getting together and trying to ram through the last election a measure to extend their terms which fortunately failed. It always seems to come down to a bunch of politicans trying to protect their little worlds without remembering why they were elected in the first place. Proposition 13 was aimed at these guys and was supposed to force them to live within our means. Do you ever feel like the Hampster on the wheel? How about a simple ballot measure that throws them all out and says we have to start over?
At long last they have arrived. Trader Dan has them in stock and they are better looking than the advanced photos. Looks like a real winner in Tan and Black and should make going through the TSA checkpoints a lot easier.
Most of the time when fruit falls to the ground the rats come and get it. Next come the snakes who eat the rats. So the question is ” who eats the snakes” ?
I thought the exempt land was all owned by Senator Feinstein’s husband, Richard Blum, who traded a bunch of desert land that he had to the government for prime development property. Somehow man is just like the snakes, the last guy in the food chain gets fat off the land.
When, as a kid, I asked my dad a question and he didn’t know the answer he usually respond that sometimes “it’s because I said so.” Maybe that’s Google’s position. They have become so big and powerful that they have become the new “IBM” and they’ve lost their spirit of adventure and innovation. Now that they are billionaires they’re more interested in market control and domination than they are in fostering the kind of things that they set out to do when they were undergraduates.
We set out on a path of new ideas and to try something that we felt would add to the universe. Our passion was to generate excitement and to be a place where others with new ideas could take a chance. Making money wasn’t, nor is it now, our focus. We’re having fun, working hard and getting a really big rush when we sell something that our customers felt we would do a better job on than others they had gone to. I would rather shut the site down than become just another online catalog. Hang in their Zoe and Jason.
I saw on Fox TV that the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is considering an ordnance that would require all of the downtown businesses to turn off unnecessary lights after dark. Does anyone remember when President Carter ordered this nationwide. Maybe it’s worth a try again.
Fighting the switch to Vista is equivalent to trying to stop a glacier. I’ve been on Vista on a PC and a laptop since it came out. I’m not sure that it is any slower but it does take time to adapt just like XP did when you installed it replacing Windows 98. Heck, if we wanted to stay with comfort we’d all still on 3.1. Remember the old saying that the only thing that is constant, is change.
Last week end we had breakfast at the Indian Wells Country Club in the desert. We asked if they had a kids menu as we plan to take our grandsons there in a couple of weeks. They brought us an Etch-a-sketch and when we turned it over the menu was fastened to the back. What a great idea to keep the gremlins busy while their food is being cooked.
Wow, it’s not like this was the first April 1st ever. For the ultimate prankstar to get Fooled is proof that there really is someone out there looking after the little guy. Nice going Jason!
This is a very worthwhile program that not many people are aware of. Please pass this on to anyone you know of who may be volunteering now at an organization that might qualify.
We talked about adding new categories that might help friends who have emerging businesses who may not have their own web sites. Let’s encourage them to use us a one of their marketing tools. A true trading post is a place to reacquaint ourselves with old friends; meet and make new friends; share ideas and to encourage people with a vision or idea to take a chance.
I’m really excited about the people who have come to us for help on a specific product because we actually have a real person that they can talk to. Robert from Eldorado, CA needed a case for his new computer and didn’t know what kind of foam he needed. We found him a Pelican 1495cc2 and got him some extra foam. Our resource section seems to be one of the things that people like the most. This section is the core of the “Trading Post” concept
I admire your courage but I remain skeptical that these have long lasting results. I am reminded of a list of things that I have heard over the years that can improve your overall health if you can stick to them:
1. Make moderate changes in your diet-portion control-no seconds.
2. Eat less saturated fat, found predominately in red meat, butter, cream and tropical oils.
3. Cut back on trans fatty acids—fried foods are a no no.
4. Limit intake of simple carbs like white flour, white rice, sugar, corn syrup.
5. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and soy products.
6. Exercise, at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week.
7. Meditate or practice yoga. Work on stress management.
8. Lose 10% of your weight and you’ll be amazed at the results (more energy, lower Blood Pressure etc.).
9. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.
10. Don’t go to the refrigerator unless you know ahead of time what you are after. Just opening the door and staring into it for an idea is often a sign of stress.
Drink a ton of water—you should drink at least one half your body weight in ounces of water every day.
Laugh out loud as often as you can.
gracias.
Not sure what you can use it for but I would not advise giving it to the neighbors cat (even tho you hate old Fluffy). A friend of mines cat drank some gasoline that I had in a can one time; he then ran around in circles for an hour and then dropped to the ground. I thought he was dead but it turned out the he’d just run out of gas.
Very cool, can’t wait to try it out. Is there a way that you could do a mass e mailing to all of those who have signed up reminding them to check it out too?
Great alternative to the expensive firms that want to tent your house. Living near the beach guarantees termites who seem to pick the warm days to swarm. I’m going to try this. Thanks Dave.
Wendy’s has the best chilli and the $ .79 burger is a great basic burger. The best hamburger is, hands down, Fat Burger.
Looks good, like the expanding nature of the site. Please give us 5 minutes of your time each day to tell us about something fun and/or exciting in your world.
You are right, we just can’t drink enough. I would write more but I’m constantly running to the potty.
Some would say that the diamond was way too small. Me, I prefer to say it’s a modest display of wealth.
Sounds like you had a great and much needed vacation. Looking back on my visits to Las Vegas I would’ve gotten out of town a lot better off by getting off the plane and emptying my wallet on the floor and then taking the next plane home. I’m lousy at the tables.
I looked up the 1200 and the inside dimensions are 9.25” X 7.12” X 4.12” and you might want to consider the 1300 which is 10.62”X9.68”X6.87” with Pluck Foam. This would allow you to custom size the insert to your unit adding extra protection. Check it out under Pelican Cases.

Re: Philadelphia Water Ice Factory North Carolina closed for Winter; Can’t wait to see you in the
Thanks for signing up, we look forward to hearing more about the store. Good Luck.
