As well as proactively finding your own leads and customer base, we want you to be able to build income through referral sales just as easily.
Through your SPOT and community blog articles
Because CoTradeCo is about community building, we hope you will join us in the community blog. And as a sales rep we will reward you. Any organic traffic from search engines or other sites who link to your SPOT or anything you post to the community blog also counts as a referral if they sign up or purchase anything.
Earn 30% on gross profit
You make money we make money. You earn 30% of gross profit (minus a 5% houseload for operating costs).[1] This is an extremely generous commission rate for the types of industries we serve. And as part of our committment to your success, don’t forget that you will receive the same commission rate for passive referrals as well.

Referrals for community participation
We really want you to understand that your participation at CoTradeCo is valued and that all traffic attracted to the site through any of your contributions to the community are treated as referrals. If you write an article or start a discussion that attracts new community members or store customers you will be rewarded.[2]
Important to stress here is that you can use the CoTradeCo communities to not only generate leads, but use the community blogs to give personal customer service which will give you even more exposure, demonstrate your knowledge-committment-expertise to existing and potential customers, and also allow CoTradeCo staff and other sales reps and affiliates to help you provide that better service.
Personalized and customized collateral
If you qualify as a sales rep we will provide you with business cards and provide design services for custom marketing materials on your request. We want to help you succeed. As a sales rep out there drumming up sales, we want to make sure you have the resources you need. Just ask. Many pre-existing resources are also available in the ADMIN TRADER LOGIN.
Tips, coaching, mentoring
We help our sales reps with tips and ideas on different potential sales oppportunities. We work with you to help you succeed. We continue to add general industry tips in the TRADER ADMIN LOGIN, but are here to personally discuss ideas with you.
Training with vendor and manufacturer reps
While we pride ourselves in being as knowledgeable as possible, we will arrange for personal meetings and trainings with many of the manufacturers we work with. Currently this is fairly limited to those living in the Southwest U.S. and select areas of the country for certain product lines. But under the right circumstances will even consider flying you in to spend some time with us and our vendor reps.
Assistance with your web presence
If you have a website or are thinking of starting one, CoTradeCo will use it’s knowledge and expertise to give advice and in some cases even directly assist in the construction of your site.
Leads directly from CoTradeCo
We want to build localized specialized representatives around the world. If you can cover a specific geographical area, especially outside of Southern California, and/or have special knowledge/focus in a particular industry or hobby Trader Dan will turn over leads generated from the website or phone calls to qualified sales reps local to that lead.
Sales Rep finder
We will be implementing a sales rep finder resource on our site to help provide more personalized local service. Corporate, government, and public works accounts seeking a local rep will be able to find you based on geographical location. In all cases we would rather pay you a commission to ensure local personal service than make a few extra bucks trying to service business accounts long distance.
CoTradeCo handles everything
We process all orders, handle payment, provide superior customer service, everything. You place the orders (or send the referrals) and we make sure your customers are happy.
The sales rep program is open to any individual or business. However, the expectation of maintaining a reasonable number of orders or sales volume is critical in offering the higher commission and a personal relationship. The sales rep program is perfect for professional sales people who are looking for new products or industries to serve. Because we do work intimately with our sales reps and do our best to provide as many resources and oppportunties as possible we are more selective in who we accept as a sales rep.

CoTradeCo is not a giant corporation purely driven by profit. We are a small company looking to grow a better business, building community and informational resources. CoTradeCo is about relationships and mutual success with ethics and a social consciousness. Having a SPOT is integral to that relationship.
And besides being the only way to get you in the system, having a SPOT and posting to the community blog is an easy way to start building referrals since you get referrals through any organic traffic to our website that you post.
Also because we are a small company and asking folks to sign up for a SPOT first helps to weed out the spammers.
There are absolutely no fees to join the Sales Rep program.
We review every inquiry personally and will want to discuss your application by phone. It is important to us that we work with qualified, excited sales reps whose relationship will be mutually beneficial. We also make sure to not saturate any geographical or specialty area with sales reps for obvious reasons.

1. What is CoTradeCo?
A New Time Trading Post, themed around the traditional old west trading post where individuals would meet not only to buy goods, but to meet other parties, and get news and information from around the world and even the trail ahead. CoTradeCo sells a wide variety of specialty product lines that cater to various industries, hobbies, and lifestyles. Our store and communities reflect these relationships. CoTradeCo is currently focused in industrial and personal safety as well as outdoor adventure. However, we do offer general household and other categories and hope to continue growing into a complete general store for work, life, and play.

2. Does it cost me anything?
NO! No strings, nothing hidden. Our entire business model is built around openness and ethical practices. CoTradeCo wants to work with you.
However, as a sales rep you may from time to time wish to build a collection of sample products for demonstration purposes. Depending on your application and/or sales volume, we will always do our best to provide you with any samples we can at no charge. But for obvious reasons, we cannot send thousands of dollars worth of expensive product to new sales reps with no track record. That said, no sales rep is required to purchase product for demonstration purposes. Even for new sales reps, simply contact us with your needs and we can often make arrangements to at least send samples for most products on a temporary basis. Obviously the higher your sales and the longer the relationship we have with you the more we will be able to help you.
3. Can I be dropped from the program
YES and NO. Individuals who attempt to exploit the program, spam, or otherwise behave poorly will be dropped entirely. Individuals with poor sales volume could be switched over to the affiliate program. But we will always be in touch to discuss your situation. You will never be dropped or switched to an affiliate without being contacted first.
In the event that you are dropped, all pre-existing commissions will be paid within 30 days of being dropped. If you are switched to an affiliate account, then you will continue to receive payments under the affiliate agreement.
4. Do you provide training?
YES. We will consult by phone and email anytime. Also individuals who are in the Southwest U.S. or select areas of the country can meet with and get training from our vendor and manufacturer reps on select product lines. Depending on your situation and sales volume we do consider flying people in for training as well. CoTradeCo is here to work with you and will do whatever we can to help you succeed.
5. What about returns?
If a customer returns a product for a refund, or if the charges are reversed for any reason that cancels the sale, your account will be reduced by the amount of those referral fees.
