Coachella Valley Trading, Co. (CoTradeCo), was founded in September, 2007 by Dan Anderson and zoe somebody with i motion creative . The goal is to create a unique online shopping and socializing environment where everyone benefits based on the concepts of the old time trading post.

Really brief history and overview

CoTradeCo is a small company with big service and ideas. Being small and building big relationships makes us an ideal source for all types of products and services.

The community and community blogs are what reallly make CoTradeCo special. When we all sat down to talk about this new company, the primary motivating factor was coming up with a way to bring people together personally and professionally, help people promote what is important in their lives, and even make money as independent CoTradeCo reps.

That vision is coming to life everyday. Like any business we had to make sure we were financially viable and so we have focused a lot on building the online catalog and empowering our sales force on the streets, and servicing our customers. As a consequence our communities have been slow to grow, but new people are signing up every day, and we are adding new features all the time.

We would like to say that we are a force to be reckoned with, but might prefer a force to be realized!

We are still in process of getting building and expanding the site resources and functionality. The site you are on now was only put online in November and has not yet been “officially” launched, even now as of April 2008. When we first went online it was at cvppkg.com and it was only a hint and glimmer stop-gap based on countless novel ideas and lofty dreams. Then the first version of the site you are on today was released, where we turned to family, friends, and business associates to help us “play” with the site and get some activity going while we continued building, bug testing, and building new features. The first couple of versions weren’t even ready enough to call BETA, more like a GAMMA release. Since then though 2008 has proved fruitful and while starting a new business in the current economic climate has been more difficult than usual, things are going well. I would say we have achieved an ALPHA release status and the next few months should see us declare that the site is GOLD and you’ll see a snazzy official launch!

We are a small and agile company dedicated to finding innovative ways to interact and prosper in the 21st century.
